Value proposition for silicon: nano-pure
Among possible anode materials in Li-Ion batteries, silicon is the most attractive material from the point of electric potential value and specific capacity. NanoPow’s low-cost crystalline silicon nano-powder production will naturally attract high-tech industries, especially in energy related fields. Li-ion accumulation capacity of crystalline silicon is 10 times larger than graphite. NanoPow’s crystalline nano silicon is much more conductive has dense structure and shows higher performance in anode application, compared to other silicon related nano sized materials.
As suggested in the picture down below, up to 30% - 45% more capacity from the battery when adding silicon-nanopowder. From the image one can tell that the car battery performance go from 500km up to 1500km, depending on the cathode materials.
